Screening followed by Q & A with Stuart Gaffney, Lynne Chan and Alan Calpe. Co-sponsored by MNN's Community Outreach & Media Department. Curated by Doreen Wang. Over a year ago, sitting in the building of what would become MOCA’s new home, we asked “What does it mean to be in Chinese in America?” This time around we ask: “What does it mean to often be marginalized within the Chinese in America?”

What does it mean, for example, to be lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer and Chinese American or Asian American? To further pursue a critical and challenging community, Q + Me is a curated screening and discussion, exploring questions of Queer Asian American identity and artistic expression through the work of three different artists working in film and video: Stuart Gaffney, Lynne Chan and Alan Calpe.

The screening will showcase a mixed and matched selection of their work, and will be followed by a question and answer session with the artists. Space is wheelchair accessible. Snacks provided. Cash bar.
