In order to reserve equipment or a facility, a producer must be working on a particular program for cablecast on MNN. To register a program with us, producers must fill out a Production Points: Single Form.

PRODUCTION POINTS: SINGLE FORM
Only individuals who have attended an Orientation Workshop, the Producers Workshop and have at least one certification may fill out Production Points: Single Form.

This form asks for information such as the producer's name, program description, length of the program, authorized agents, etc. Producers are only allowed one active project at a time; however, they may produce their own project and also be an authorized agent (see page Making Reservations for details) for another producer’s project.

After you turn in the Production Points: Single Form, your show will be allotted 100 points, which will be your “budget” for that show. Every facility “costs” a certain amount of points per hour. Producers are able to use whatever facility they have the proper certification for and as long as they have enough points to “pay” for it. This system allows equal access to equipment for all MNN users and enables producers to budget their project and plan use of the facilities or equipment.
